With architecture inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, this beautiful house sits on a promontory on the Atlantic side of the unspoiled, friendly island of Carriacou, an easy 20-minute plane ride from Grenada.
The incomparable villa location is framed by lush front gardens next to the sea and an entrancing view of the nearby islands of Petit Martinique and Petit St. Vincent. The carefully tended lawns and gardens and a constant cooling sea breeze create a comfortable, virtually mosquito-free environment for both outdoor and indoor entertaining.
Relaxing by the pool and watching these islands light up as dusk falls, is one of the many visual treats of Villa Joya Carriacou.
Relaxing Open Plan Interior
Beautifully appointed, the villa has four bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms, and can sleep up to 10 people.
The house has recently undergone a major refurbishment, with an interior designed by a well-known London decorator. The high-ceiling living room creates an airy, spacious ambiance and sets the tone for the rest of the house. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas including by the pool, in the courtyard and adjoining the sitting room.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a large oven, microwave, two refrigerators, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee maker.
There is a DVD library, a surround sound system and internet access throughout the house.

Villa Joya Carriacou provides the perfect setting – luxury, privacy and peace – in which to enjoy the island and simply relax in a truly tranquil matchless setting.
Helpful Staff
The property manager, Alison is on hand to help you with travel arrangements, pre-arrival grocery shopping, car rentals, and meet and greets. She knows the island inside out. She will also help you with any questions you may have and be on hand to help you navigate the island and arrange boat trips and restaurant recommendations.
The housekeeper, Barbara, works five days a week. She will Makeup your rooms and launder and iron. Max is in charge of maintenance and will ensure the smooth running of the house and be on hand when there are any issues.
We provide a Complementary meal and drinks for your arrival, and a continental breakfast the first morning.
A True Caribbean Island - Carriacou
Carriacou itself is one of the rare gems of the Caribbean; unspoiled, friendly, with stunning, uncrowded beaches, excellent local restaurants, lovely countryside to explore with world famous scuba diving and other water activities.
Carriacou is known as the "land of the reefs", valued for It's stunning diving and snorkelling in crystal clear waters. There are no cruise ships, big resorts or souvenir shops - this is the Caribbean life as it was 50 years ago, quiet, laid-back and relaxed.
Carriacou's main town, Hillsborough, is bustling, friendly and colourful. The "kayaks" , as the islanders are known, Makeup a small community of welcoming and hospitable people. There is no need to be security conscious here.
There are many "fetes", like the Carriacou Carnival at Easter and the regatta in August. There are many cultural experiences to take in and capture-worthy celebrations, be it as a witness to a traditional wedding or boat launching event, watching the Big Drum Nation Dance or Shakespeare Mas, or taking part in All Saint Candle Lighting 'Pass Play' and Fishermen Birthday Celebrations. The kayaks have rich traditions and customs passed down through generations influenced by their African and European ancestors. They are proud of their island and it shows.
The nearby Tobago Cays where you can swim with the turtles was a location for the film Pirates of the Caribbean.
Carriacou lies 47 kilometres north of Grenada, a major hub from Europe and the U. S. It is then a short 20 minute flight or a 90-minute ferry ride from Grenada.
