Above the Best Beach on Bequia
If your looking for location, location, location plus great value Princess Hill Villa is hard to beat. The beautiful Princess Margaret Beach is just few steps along the path from the front gates. The center of the harbour takes less than fifteen minutes down the coast path accessed from the garden gate. The big win at Princess Hill Villa is it brings a stunning location at superb value.
The natural path from the garden gate leads to the Plantation House beach and connects to the Princess Point Coastal Trail, then to the Belmont Walkway. This route is just a ten to fifteen minute stroll to the Frangipani Hotel and Bequia’s restaurants, bars, boutiques and shops.
The owners are always looking for ways to improve the villa and have recently added new mahogany doors throughout and have always taken great care of their property. The garden has been landscaped and well maintained. The path along to the walkway has been cut back and is in good order.
Cool and Comfortable for a Group of Six
Princess Hill Villa provides a cool, comfortable environment for up to six guests. There is a queen sized bed in the master bedroom and the second pool level bedroom and a king sized bed in the lower level suite. Single beds for children in the second bedroom are available on request. All bedrooms are air conditioned. Each has a private bathroom and the upper level master bedroom has direct access to the pool area: perfect for a pre-breakfast dip.
Pool Level and Ground Floor Living
The upper level of this charming villa comprises two bedrooms, a big, open living room, kitchen, dining area and two bathrooms. Every window throws out a sweeping ocean view and the poolside sun deck provides the best possible place to relax.
Downstairs there is a bedroom/bathroom suite with twin sinks and a small frig. It has an open plan studio look with a covered porch facing the tropical gardens. This ground floor level offers additional privacy and was recently renovated throughout, with hand made wooden shutters and attractively tiled floors.
Chunky Furniture, Cool Colours and Tiled Floors
The interior styling of Princess Hill Villa offers a comfortable mix of chunky, rattan and wooden furniture and soft, earthy colours. The floors have been tiled throughout and the ceilings are high, which maintains a cool atmosphere throughout. Vented doors and a roof cupola enhance the natural air flow.
Kitchen with Granite Tops
The bright and practical kitchen has lots of storage and food preparation space whilst being close to the dining area, with table and chairs for six to eight guests. The kitchen is fully equipped and features amongst other items, a breakfast bar with counter chairs, a fridge/ freezer, gas cooker, twin ovens, microwave, coffee maker, blender and kettle.
Guests can enjoy dining outside on the veranda, beside the pool, in the roof garden or on the gazebo. Even washing up is a pleasure at Princess Hill Villa, with pretty views from the kitchen window.
Relaxed and Friendly
Princess Hill Villa is a relaxed Caribbean Villa in the perfect setting. It has a lovely classic yet homey feel, with big French doors open to the views and breezes. There is something captivating about its unique character and friendly atmosphere.
The villa has many repeating guests who fondly call it their home away from home. Guests with children find the property has a welcoming ambience where everyone can decompress and unwind.
The guests at Princess Hill Villa benefit from the newly renovated Garden Suite that has AC, modern bathroom, vented shutters and walk in closet. It also has a private porch and garden views: intimate and a little removed.
Located on the headland above the idyllic Princess Margaret beach, Princess Hill Villa has unforgettable views over the beaches of the west coast of Bequia and the Caribbean Sea. Moored yachts speckle the turquoise waters of the bay and harbour below and since the villa faces west, breathtaking sunsets are commonplace.
The ever popular Jack’s Bar and Grill, with its own dinghy dock, is three minutes down private steps from the front gate. One of Bequia's other beautiful beaches, Lower Bay, is a short water taxi ride or a fifteen minute walk away, as is the busy harbour town of Port Elizabeth.
Easy Shopping in the Harbour
From the harbour one can do some food shopping, browse roadside craft stalls or sample some of Bequia's iconic bars and restaurants. A range of activities, such as diving, hiking the volcano on St Vincent or day sails to other islands in the Grenadines, including Mustique and the Tobago Cays can also be arranged.
Central Pool and Patio Area
Princess Hill Villa has an attractive central patio pool area with barbecue, hardwood pool furniture and a unique, elevated gazebo with spectacular 360 degree views. There are few better places on earth to enjoy a Caribbean sunset.
The pool, complete with night-lights, has shaded areas around it as well as plenty of room to soak up the Bequia sunshine. The roof garden, located above the garage, is a great breakfast spot or a shady place to read or catch up on e mails.
The property has good wireless internet coverage everywhere and cable tv in the living room.
Princess Hill Villa is well cared for by the devoted owners. The villa staff, caretaker Willie and his wife and housekeeper Zene, are charming and capable people who can also help arrange beach barbecues, picnics and local fishing trips.
Willie has a locally built red, white and blue boat, which he rows among the moored yachts displaying his hand made jewellery. You may have seen his picture on the cover of several travel and tourist brochures on the Grenadines.

This is a favourite beach for visiting yachts and has a great convivial atmosphere. Gorgeous, deep coral sand beach. Good swimming. Beautiful trees... There's even a cave. Now with a spectacular beach restaurant. Best reached by water there is a pretty wooden jetty for a dinghy to the harbour. Above and behind the beach a handful of special houses nestle amongst the trees or on the headland. brightly painted hand made boats rest in the shade of palms and sea grape.
Guest ReviewsWe stayed at Princess Hill Villa Jan 10 - 17th. We wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and Willy and his wife were fantastic and very friendly, definitely contributing to a pleasant visit to Bequia. Anita LeFevre
We really enjoyed Princess Hill. The location is great, and we had a really wonderful week. Bequia is gorgeous! Many thanks and I hope to be able to plan our holiday for next year with you. (Amy Nelson-Bennett, Feb 2009)
First of all, this island is a paradise. The villa is wonderful, it's
based on the best location you can have on the island with a
breathtaking panoramic view from the gazebo. You can swim in the pool
and also get down at Princess Margaret Beach, the prettiest beach on the
island (where you can do snorkeling in the middle of fishes). We can
enjoy the garden, the flowers and the birds from the veranda and the
house is very confortable and spacious. The caretaker helped us during
our stay and he gave us local advices on everything we need (fishing,
boat day, volcano, etc). You can dive, snorkle, hike on the Soufrière at
St Vincent and go to the different beautiful islands of the Grenadines
(especialy Tobago Cays where you can snorkle with the turtle in the
turquoise sea: you will not regret it).
You can walk to the harbor by the special path (more or less 10 minutes).
The house is very functional (laundry area, fans, air conditional in the bedrooms). There is a good wifi over the whole property.
In a few words, here life is easy, you can relax, have good times and it was for sure an amazing experience staying at this villa with a friendly dog and friendly caretaker.

Good morning GV
I am writing to say thank you very much for your help with our accommodation in Bequia. The 3 of us had a fantastic time staying at Princess Hill Villa. I would be grateful if you could pass on our thanks to Willy & Zene who looked after us very well at the house.
As always the trip on The Friendship Rose was great fun and the crew were brilliant!
Very best wishes

We had a fantastic holiday at Princess Hill. I thought the Villa was absolutely lovely and Zene and Willy were incredibly helpful. Willy is well known to my husband's uncle who spends every winter on his yacht so that was a nice connection.
I wish we could say we will be back next year but finances will not allow it!

We loved having a dog for the week also :-)

We love Princess Hill. Blue Shades is outstanding but we love the Caribbean feel and the gazebo is the best. Thanks again for all your help.
