Villa Description
Fantastic location
This villa arguably has one of the best locations on Bequia - situated directly above the golden sand of Princess Margaret Beach. A Shade of Blues offers great options for families or groups of friends. The studio is situated on the ground floor of the property and can be made available for a couple or single guest looking for a great value base close to the best beach on the island. The studio has it's own independent access from the main house.
Lovely pool & lovely beach location
This excellent Bequia vacation base overlooks Bequia's best beach, just a stone's throw from the warm turquoise waters, where you can take a dip or explore some fantastic snorkeling spots. Beach towels can be provided if required. Studio guests have easy access to the villas pool for a relaxing dip and are welcome between the hours of 9am & 9pm.
A Lovely Bequia villa rental
Completed in 2010 this villa is finished to a high standard with a calm relaxing atmosphere. With the added bonus of Air Conditioning. The infinity edge pool overlooking Princess Margaret offers a wonderful place to cool off. It is located on a lower level and is shared with occupants in the main house. The main driveway is for the use of the villa, guests staying at the studio can park at the car park below and access the studio via the steps, for any heavy luggage special delivery arrangements can be made.
Kitchen and dining areas
The Studio has access to the main villas BBQ / and a small kitchenette area just off the pool deck - which has fridge, sink, toaster, and French Press coffee maker. Ideal for breakfasts, sandwiches, cold lunches etc. Provisions can be pre-ordered, a service charge of 20 USD plus cost of provisions to be paid upon arrival.
Bedroom
The Studio contains a king size bed with an en suite private bathroom, consisting of a beautiful outside shower open to the Caribbean sky and separate wc. The room opens out onto a west facing balcony, wonderful to enjoy the sunsets. From here there are lovely ocean views over Admiralty Bay. There is a TV with DVD player for entertainment.
Air Conditioning
Is available to cool the room, but not the Caribbean air outside. The owners reserve the right to charge an excess electricity usage fee if the air conditioning unit is run when the doors and windows are open.
No children under the age of 5 please
** Please note that due to the limited size and shared facilities this Studio option is recommended for a stay of up to 7 nights (3 nights minimum)
Jacks Bar
Jack's Beach Bar located just below the villa is great for a refreshing drink or sundowner at the beach bar in the shade and is available for lunch and; dinner most nights. The wooden dock is perfectly located for a quick Speedboat trip into Admiralty Bay or the popular nearby Lower Bay Beach. The walk back up to the villa from the beach is short but steep and is well worth the view! During the high season (1st Dec - 30th April) Jacks is open for lunch and dinner most nights (no breakfast) with live music on a Tuesday from around 9pm - 11pm. Reservations recommended.
Recommended for Wedding Groups
A Shade of Blues works well for large groups visiting Bequia for a wedding or family or friends reunion, especially when linked with other villas that are very close by, including Gumbo Limbo, Piperie, Princess Hill, Turtle Point and Flamingo
Contact the Team at Grenadine Island Villas for assistance with planning your groups accommodation.
Please Note
When guests have rental vehicle please park at the private car park below the drive. The drive is tricky & the owners prefer only their preferred taxi driver, Julian, to negotiate the drive. If guests want to invite others to the villa & pool please do so whilst being sensitive to others who may be using the property. Please note that only rental paying guests may use the pool. Please inform the rental agent prior to inviting extra guests to the property during the evening, in particular.

Princess Margaret
This is a favourite beach for visiting yachts and has a great convivial atmosphere. Gorgeous, deep coral sand beach. Excellent swimming. Beautiful trees for shade... There's even a cave to explore! Now with a spectacular beach restaurant. Best reached either by water, there is a pretty wooden jetty for a dinghy to the harbour, or via the Belmont Walkway Coastal Path from Port Elizabeth. Above and behind the beach a handful of special houses nestle amongst the trees or on the headland. brightly painted hand made boats rest in the shade of palms and sea grape.

to enjoy breakfast. If that wasn't enough, the gorgeous infinity pool will help you cool off after a long hot day so will the outdoor shower. We were lucky to be the only ones in the house during our stay which made it even more special. Communication was excellent, a cellphone was for us to use which was very helpful and we were welcomed by a very nice lady when we arrived who made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended! Read LessRead less about My wife and I had the most amazing

s v good, though not for young families because two of the three bedrooms were in a separate building from the main house. The villa was right above the beach, the best beach on the island, and we often had it to ourselves. When it got busy, there were perhaps ten other people on the beach. Sea was warm and heavenly...Many thanks for your recommendation Read LessRead less about We had a fantastic time in Bequia, one

very day. One important thing that is missed off the info, are the number of steps, from the lane to the apartment. I had just had surgery to my foot and had only been off crutches for 3 days before we came away. There are 78 steps from the apartment to the lane and a further 78 to the beach, if you go down via Jack's Bar. There are no steps if you go along the lane a little and through the trees to the beach. A good way to keep fit and there are convenient placse to stop on the way up!!! A bit of a hike with a case of wine or crate of beer, though we did manage!! Ask Julian about getting the beer from the beer factory and getting wine from the Welshman, Richard. The Friendship Rose trips are great, we did one to Tobago Cays and one to Mustique. We also took the Fast Ferry - Jaden Sun- to Union Island, calling at Canouan & Mayreau on the way. The outside showers are simply wonderful. The terrace is a great place to watch the bay from and each morning and evening we counted the vessels in and out. Wi-fi works best on the terrace. Princess Margaret's Beach really is the best one on the island. We were just at the start of the season, so some places weren't up and running. Fernando's Hideaway was great, but booking is a must. Can't believe it's taken me this long to write the review! Would certainly go back again. Bequia is no good if you want everything on a plate. It is a small island, so the produce you can buy is dictated by what is shipped in!! Read LessRead less about Our 3 week stay here was ostensibly to
