Generation Gap Moonhole Beachfront Villa
Designed for beachfront living, the Generation Gap House rises from the beach to the treetops. The house is built around a lush tropical garden. The main living area contains a whale rib bar, a large heart shaped dining table that seats 8, and another table overlooking the sea. A curved outdoor seating area overlooks the central garden. There are Sundecks outside the main living room and adjoining each bedroom.

The windows and arches of the main living area frame a panoramic view of Petit Nevis, Isle a Quatre, Pigeon Island, Mustique, and the Southern Grenadines. Massive tropical vines cascade over the stone walls that surround the tropical garden where young fruit trees and palms shoot up toward the sky. With three bedrooms on three different levels and more than 4,000 feet of living space, Generation Gap is one of the larger houses at Moonhole.
Three Bedrooms, Kitchen & Living Spaces
The Queen Bedroom has a queen bed, private bathroom with a fresh-water shower and an anteroom with a daybed that can accommodate a small child. The Tree-Top Bedroom has It's own private deck, a king bed, and a private bathroom with a fresh-water shower. The Seaside Bedroom overlooks the Caribbean and has a king bed and private bathroom with a freshwater shower.
Each bedroom has it's own private bathroom, and the house is equipped with solar showers, hammocks and a solar power system.
The fully-equipped kitchen has a refrigerator-freezer and a stove and oven powered by propane. Staff provides cooking and housekeeping services, which are included in the rent - please contact us for confirmation on house services.

Enjoy the peace and quiet of Moonhole. No roads, no traffic, only quiet paths wind through our compound. Relax and let our friendly staff care for you. Swim in turquoise waters, dive for conchs and sand dollars, watch birds soar, sunbathe, swing in a hammock, enjoy the beach or hike the challenging Fishermen's Path to the tip of the island. Bring your mask and snorkel to the Bight, a gigantic aquarium filled with tropical fish and brilliant coral reefs. Or just relax and enjoy a good read. Fish from the beach or a deep-sea fishing boat. For 'the big ones.' Charter a sailboat to explore the Tobago Cays or take an inter-island ferry to visit Mustique, St. Vincent, Canouan, Union or other islands of the Grenadines. Explore the many other beautiful beaches, bays and coves around Bequia. Spend an evening on the town in Port Elizabeth where restaurants and nightlife abound. Spot a shooting star, gaze at the moon, and bask in the trade winds on Bequia, the 'island of the clouds.'
Getting Here, Getting Around, & Services
Most international travellers arrive via Barbados and take a short flight to Bequia on SVG Air or to St. Vincent on LIAT, and an inter-island ferry to Bequia. A taxi meet you at the airport or ferry, and a member of our staff will greet you at the Moonhole entrance and help you with your luggage.
The Moonhole Private Estate
Tom and Gladdie Johnston founded Moonhole Company in 1964. Working side by side with carpenters and masons from the nearby village of Paget Farm, Tom built the original house beneath the enormous natural arch known far and wide as 'Moonhole.'Over the years Tom and his crew constructed 16 more houses with stone's from the site, native hardwoods, and materials reclaimed from the sea. Trees flourish inside the houses. Flowering tropical plants abound.
In 2000 Tom turned over the preservation of Moonhole to to a conservation trust to preserve Moonhole's natural beauty. As a member of the National Trust and through our private foundation, Moonhole Friends, including., we actively support environmental, educational and cultural activities on Bequia Today the original Moonhole house may only be viewed from the sea There are no public tours. Although the Moonhole compound is private, the company does offer several of It's original houses for rent by the week, month or season.

Janissa's Spa offers a select spa tucked away amongst tropical gardens and features a reflection pool and a variety of treatments using local herbs and spices including massage therapies, waxing, facial and body treatments.
