Kingston Conabay House Lower Bay, Bequia, St Vincent and The Grenadines

“Conabay”, the local term for corner of the bay. This villa is part of a set of 4 lovely properties owned by the Kingston family, in the desirable western end of Lower Bay. Kingston Conabay House is a traditional Bequia cottage, built from wood and stone, open in style.

Beautiful Location

Conabay House is situated on a private road, and has a beautiful elevated view over Lower Bay. This lovely Bequia rental is a 2 minute stroll away from Lower Bay Beach, and due to it's location it is quiet and peaceful (the access road to the beach is short but steep so not ideal for guests with any mobility challenges).

Open Kitchen and Living Space

The central open plan kitchen and living space is airy with high traditional wooden ceiling, and broad balcony. It has the wonderful feature of huge doors that open out onto the shady veranda, so whilst you are eating or relaxing in the living area, you can appreciate the lovely view out from the veranda, and the cool breeze that travels inside. This is a true, tranquil escape - with no phone or tv, (wifi is provided) this is a relaxing and calm place to fully enjoy your Bequia vacation.

The kitchen is simple, but well equipped. There is a fridge, microwave, stove/oven, blender, toaster, and French press coffee maker. There is hot and cold water available. Dish soap, dish towels, and sponges are provided. 

Lovely Outside Area

Outside this lovely Bequia holiday rental, there is a stone patio area, with shady seating. This is a great space to relax and take in your surroundings, after a busy day in Bequia, exploring all that the island has to offer. The veranda is nice and cool with a lovely ocean view.

2 Bedrooms

Conabay House has one double and one twin bedroom, both opening onto courtyard areas. The principal bedroom features Queen bed square mosquito netting and large doors which open out onto a side porch. There is a closet and night tables with lamps. The second bedroom has two single beds with mosquito nets, a night stand with lamp and a small desk and chair. Each bedroom also has full length dressing mirrors. All linens, duvets, covers and protectors are new from 2019 onwards. For hygienic purposes, each bed has a bamboo mattress cover and pillow protectors that are changed between guests. For added comfort, a fan is provided in each occupied bedroom.

Ensuite Bathrooms

Each bedrooms in Conabay feature ensuite stone finished bathrooms that are truly unique. Both stone showers are open air above to allow for natural light, ventilation and a truly unique showering experience.  Hand soap and toilet paper are provided.  There is also a hairdryer available upon request.

Lovely Veranda and Garden.

The veranda is a wonderful shady space, with a bistro set, rocking chair and a hammock overlooking the garden, and the beach.  From the veranda you can really appreciate the stunning views of the sea and harbour. The flowers and plants that frame this view are really beautiful, making Conabay a great place to enjoy a relaxing Bequia holiday.

Safety and Security

There is a programmable safe in the closet in the principal bedroom. There are also smoke detectors installed in each bedroom and a fire extinguisher located in the kitchen. Complimentary hand sanitizer is provided and cloth masks are available for a nominal fee ($1 USD or $3 EC).  A small handheld LED flashlight is also provided.  For added security, please ensure that windows and doors are bolted and latched before leaving the property, and of course, lock the front door.

Amenities and Services

The house also comes with unscented and citronella tealights and votives with holders.  A flower vase is also provided with fresh flowers upon arrival.  For mosquito protection, “Biogent Mosquitaire” mosquito traps are utilized on the property along with brand new mosquito nets in the bedrooms. WIFI is also available. 

Beach chairs and Beach towel sets are available for a fully refundable deposit. 

Linens and towels are changed twice a week by the housekeepers, except when the guest is quarantined.  In the event, a guest is in quarantine, extra sheets and towels are provided to the house prior to guest arrival. 

Garbage and compost are picked up daily by housekeeping.  Additional housekeeping, including laundry, can be arranged at additional cost. For stays exceeding two weeks, a full housecleaning is provided every 2 weeks at no extra cost. Brooms, dustpans, cleaning sponges, toilet brushes, and all cleaning supplies are provided.  An iron is available upon request.

For added convenience, Conabay does have some 110V outlets.

Please note that there is no air conditioning and no screens on the windows.

Friendly Resident Cat

Conabay House has a very friendly resident cat, called Gus. If guests prefer we can relocate Gus for bookings through the High Season.
