Barbados is the easternmost island in the Lesser Antilles. It is flat in comparison to its island neighbours to the west, the Windward Islands. The island rises gently to the central highland region, with the highpoint of the nation being Mount Hillaby. The island is situated in the Atlantic Ocean, east of the other West Indies isles. Composed of coral the land falls in a series of "terraces" in the west and goes into an incline in the east. Much of the country is circled by coral reefs and stunning beaches. The towns scattered across the island include Holetown, in the parish of Saint James; Oistins, in the parish of Christ Church; and Speightstown, in the parish of Saint Peter. The climate is moderate tropical, with a wet season (June–November) and a more dry season (December–May).
Guest ReviewsJust got home from 12 nights at the Coconut Court Beach Hotel. Not lavish, just clean and the most beautiful view from just about every room. The staff (Annette, Richard, Stuart, Winston, Bentley, etc. in the dining room and bar area [beachfront]) was just amazing. A/C was cold, shower water hot, pool and cool spa refreshing, and the complementary hot breakfast buffet more than ample. Oh, and did I mention the view? This hotel is conveniently located to Bridgetown, St. Lawrence Gap and Oistins, with plenty of dining establishments within very easy walking distance.
Just got back from staying at Coconut Court and totally enjoyed the Hotel and all it offers. The location was great with one of the last wide beaches including lots of palm and almond trees for shade, a reef to snorkel, surfing next door and a boardwalk for exercise. Has it's own beach bar, dining room offering breakfast, lunch and dinner plus nightly entertainment. But what we enjoyed the very most was the hotel staff's attitude or should I say lack of. Everyone was always happy and smiling, ready to help with any requests making our vacation experience extra special. Thanks again Coconut Court, we'll visit you again for sure!
Just returned from a 7 day stay at the Coconut Court. The beach is wonderful . Palm trees provided shade when needed and the beautiful ocean was only steps away. A small reef provides protection from big waves. The rooms are a nice size and provide everything you need. If it is luxury you are looking for... try somewhere else. The hotel is very clean and the staff quite entertaining and helpful. This is a bargain . Make sure to book the island tour with "Ted's Tours".
We loved the stay we had at CC Beach Hotel. Beautiful beach, execellent staff, very friendly. Clean rooms, good breakfast, and somewhat secluded, when comparing to the other beaches in the area. The highlight of our trip, was when a turtle came out of the ocean, 10 feet behind me, and started digging, laying her eggs in the sand, and went back to the ocean. What an experience. American Airlines cancelled our flight home and gave us a free stay for the night at an upscale hotel. It was great, but we liked the stay at CC Beach Hotel just as much. Definetly would stay there again.
