Zingiber Villa is a spacious, modern family sized house that has been designed to flow from the 5 comfortable en suite bedrooms down through the breezy open plan interior to an immaculate sun terrace and infinity pool with views over the lovely La Sagesse Bay beneath, considered to be one of the best on the island. The villa is located on the southern shores of Grenada, close the a safe, family friendly beach with amenities that are ideal for a family group.

La Sagesse Nature Reserve

Off the beaten track, peaceful and secluded, La Sagesse nature reserve is an idyllic location for a villa. There is a stunning sandy crescent beach with a laid back restaurant that serves wonderful fresh fish sandwiches.

At Zingiber you will find unspoilt natural scenery with lush vegetation and hidden bays perfect for exploring or beach combing as well as birdwatching.

The terraces that face this villa are spacious and offer an exterior living and dining space with astounding views. There are comfortable sun loungers and sofas inviting guests out to the terraces.

The bedrooms are arranged at the highest level, benefiting from the breeze and offering a stunning view. From the bedroom guests then descend to the main open plan living space with dining table and chairs for up to 10 guests. The dining area leads to the modern kitchen with large US style stainless steel fridge/ freezer and granite topped kitchen island, ideal for food preparation and entertaining. The kitchen also includes a dishwasher, gas cooker, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and kettle.

5 mins by Car, 15 mins on Foot to Beach

This stunning property is located above a beautiful palm fringed bay and accessible by foot or in just 5 minutes by car. A relatively quiet and unspoilt beach ideal for swimming and snorkelling.

Safe swimming easy Kayaking

The beach is quiet and peaceful especially midweek and gently slopes into the sea so offers easy safe swimming. If conditions are right you can get some great waves further along the bay which are fantastic for boogie boarding and body surfing. Kayaks can be hired The owner recommends these to explore the bay and get close to the 'whale rock'.

Classic Caribbean bar and restaurant on the beach

Great beach bar provides delicious simple fresh food including locally prepared soups, salads, fish, steaks burgers and creole dishes from breakfast through to dinner.

Local cricket ground

If a match is on you will be welcomed and support is always encouraged - so pop in there if there is a game on.

Grenada Marina and Boatyard

The marina & boatyard is only a 5 minute drive away and offers a beach bar with light meals. It's worth a visit if you are interested in looking at the huge yachts and boats being repaired or stored out of water.

Le Phare Bleu is another local restaurant (10-12 mins drive) offering lunch and evening meals with a view over a boat marina. (Take your swimming gear if you are visiting in the day as you can swim out and jump in from the mast in the sea!)

Other fantastic bars and restaurants including the owners favourites: The Dodgy Dock at True Blue, The Aquarium, Port Louis, The Beach House, Umbrellas and La Boulangerie to name a few are slightly further afield but no more than 25 minutes by car.

Grenada is easy to explore from Zingiber the island is only 21 miles by 12 miles

• St Georges with the prettiest harbour in the Caribbean as well as a wonderful market and plenty of history and heritage is only 20 minutes away. There is a fantastic carnival parade in August
• Nutmeg Restaurant and watch the goings on in the working port or the cruise terminal for modern air conditioned duty free shopping
• Grand Anse beach is only 25 minutes away - a two mile stretch of white sand beach where many of the large hotels are situated
• The Island is full of wonderful places to visit including the interior rainforest and Grand Etang crater lake, swim in natural waterfalls or go river tubing and hiking
• There are lovely old plantation houses to visit for lunch some with historic museums as well as a fascinating nutmeg factory in Gouve with all wooden machinery. 'Fish Friday,' a feast of locally cooked freshly caught fish takes place in the streets of Gouve every Friday evening

Most of these attractions are within an hours drive of the house with only the turtles laying their eggs on Levera Beach in the north a bit further!

It is easy to get out on the water

Exciting adventure trips can be arranged - deep sea fishing, diving and snorkeling with PADI course available, hiking in the rainforest, full Island tours to suit your own tastes, trips to other islands and even dolphin and whale watching.

Child Friendly Family Villa

There are safety gates available that can be attached prior to guests arrival and a transparent screen that encloses the pool for safety. There is also a high chair available for guests use. The balustrade and railings are very nicely designed to protect little ones - but clearly children should always should be supervised.

Sleeps Maximum 10 guests + 1 baby

A travel cot with bedding and a high chair have been provided for babies. Stair gates are available for the main stairs and the steps leading down to the pool. They will be fitted on request before arrival.
